A Dream Realized
On Monday, October 27, 2025, I had the incredible honor of speaking on the national stage at Intuit Connect in Las Vegas — one of the most influential conferences in the accounting profession.
My session, TheBalancedCPA Method: Build a Scalable, Workflow-Driven Firm, marked a defining moment in both my professional and personal journey. This opportunity was the culmination of years of hard work, vision, and intentional growth. Fast forward to standing on a national stage in front of over a hundred peers, firm owners, and leaders — it felt like a full-circle moment that I'll never forget.
The Message Behind TheBalancedCPA Method
At its core, my presentation was about transformation — how I took my family's firm, Boscia & Boscia, PC, founded in 1975, and rebuilt it from a paper-heavy, manual operation into a modern, tech-driven, scalable business.
"Build smarter workflows. Create clear systems. And design a firm that supports your life — not the other way around."
The message I shared with attendees was simple but powerful: "Build smarter workflows. Create clear systems. And design a firm that supports your life — not the other way around."
I introduced my framework — TheBalancedCPA Method — which focuses on three pillars that help firms grow with clarity and confidence:
Systems before staff
Solve your bottlenecks before you scale.
Standards before exceptions
Define how you want clients and your team to work.
Accountability through visibility
Use structured workflows so everyone knows what needs to get done.
This wasn't a technical session — it was a story-driven experience. I shared real lessons from my own firm, how we adopted tools like SmartVault, Anchor, and Financial Cents, and how we built a more balanced business model that empowers both our clients and our team. But more importantly, I wanted attendees to pause and reflect — not just on how they run their firms, but on how their firms impact their lives.
An Engaged and Inspired Audience
The audience engagement that day was incredible. From live in-app polling to quiet reflection moments, people weren't just listening — they were connecting. You could feel the energy in the room as we talked about the universal struggles of workflow chaos, burnout, and bottlenecks that hold firms back.
After the session, I was genuinely moved by the number of attendees who came up to speak with me. Many shared how much my story resonated with them. One father and son approached me together — the son explained that after hearing my presentation, his dad was finally ready to modernize their firm and let him take the lead with technology. That single conversation made every hour of preparation worth it.
The Ripple Effect
What happened after the session was beyond what I imagined. The booths for Financial Cents, SmartVault, and Anchor were swarmed with attendees who had just left my talk. Representatives from each company personally thanked me for helping drive so much traffic their way.
It was never about promoting software — I simply shared what worked for me. But seeing how people took action immediately was incredibly rewarding.

Later, several attendees told me they had been following me online, watching my videos, and learning from my journey. Hearing how something I shared made a tangible difference in their firm — that's the kind of impact that fuels me to keep doing this work.
A Moment of Gratitude
When I first dreamed of speaking at Intuit Connect, I even put it on my vision board — a photo of myself on stage, surrounded by peers, representing what was possible if I stayed consistent, authentic, and focused on helping others. To see that vision come to life was emotional.
And I couldn't have done it without the support of mentors and friends who believed in me early on — people like Sean Duncan, Dawn Brolin, and Randy Crabtree. Also, having some of them in the audience and cheering me on was one of the proudest moments of my career.
The Bigger Picture
Speaking at Intuit Connect wasn't just a professional milestone — it was a reminder of why I started TheBalancedCPA in the first place. I built this platform to help accountants and firm owners create firms that work for their lives, not the other way around. To show that you can build something scalable, profitable, and fulfilling — without sacrificing yourself in the process.
If you were in the room that day
Thank you for being part of it.
If you couldn't make it
I'll continue sharing resources, stories, and frameworks that can help you on your own journey toward balance.
Because the truth is — balance isn't found. It's built — one system, one standard, and one choice at a time.
